Northwestern REC has the following position open:
Communication & Marketing Specialist
We are seeking a creative professional to help our team, our cooperative, and our communities thrive. We are looking for someone to help us keep our members and our employees informed and engaged.
Our communications and marketing team likes to help others shine. We tell our story with sincerity, gratitude, and a little laughter if we can.
We will give you space and support to think outside of the box and dream big. But rest assured, no one is an island, you will work closely with the rest of your team and have the support of other creative professionals like yourself.
We will look to you to create engaging, entertaining, and informative content for digital media campaigns, podcast stories, and videos. You'll need to understand social media trends and know how to use relevant platforms to create and promote content.
We will also look to you to assist in the planning and execution of cooperative-run or cooperative-sponsored events.
You will have the chance to grow a wide variety of marketing and career skills. In addition to social media and event planning, you will support the day-to-day operations of Northwestern’s communications and marketing efforts, assisting in writing, editing, and curating content for Northwestern’s various communications vehicles; overseeing sponsorship requests; and overseeing inventory of collateral. You will be a part of the team’s strategizing process, helping to create relevant, exciting, holistic campaigns that promote our programs and services. Every day is a little different!
We’re looking for someone who is a self-motivated team player with the ability to think outside of the box to help us take our communications efforts to the next level. A creative problem-solver who will take the initiative to ask questions, anticipate hurdles, and bring a positive attitude to work in communicating with our members, employees, and the public.
In this position, success will be demonstrated by implementing new marketing strategies that increase the cooperative’s presence and drive member engagement.
Connect and respect are two words that describe what we ask of all Northwestern team members. We all work to foster internal and external relationships to promote the positive image and competitive position of the cooperative through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style and an attitude of humble service to the cooperative's members, trustees, and employees.
If this position sounds exciting to you, but you don’t have experience in every listed area, don’t let that stop you from applying! Take a chance and let us know why you’d be a great addition to the team as we serve our members and communities!
